Facebook has already launched the Quest 2 ; HTC hasn’t tweeted anything, so I expect it to not launch its Quest 2 competitor at this CES ; Nreal is still in the middle of its logistic problems; Samsung is silent; etc… I hope to be wrong, but I don’t think we’ll see any kind of disruptive XR headset at CES 2021. Compliments to FRL for that.

Everyone probably has a good idea of what Virtual Reality is all about. It’s the immersion of a user into a fully virtual environment, by means of a VR headset. This allows for example a virtual pot-plant to be placed on a physical table, or a virtual mask to be placed on a physical users face correctly.

Virtual Reality Gaming isn’t coming, it’s already here. With the introduction of Google Cardboard and the Daydream VR platform, Oculus and HTC discrete VR headsets and GearVR headsets for even smartphones like the Samsung’s Galaxy S7, the first tentative steps towards virtual reality gaming are being taken.
