I don’t know how many of them will prove to be true, but for sure they all can be something that can inspire you to define your XR strategy for this year. Apple has unveiled the Vision Pro, while Google has announced a mixed-reality headset that is being built together with Samsung and Qualcomm.

The main one regards the 4 devices we were waiting for this year , which in our opinion should have changed everything: Quest 3, Apple Vision Pro, Google-Samsung Headset, and PSVR 2. The Unity Beta to develop for the Vision Pro is still not available, so many devs like me can’t even play with the emulator.

Its strategy is more akin to wanting to be a second Apple than what Google did with Android. Google is building an 'Android XR' platform to power Samsung's upcoming headset. And while Samsung may have a period of exclusivity, that almost certainly ( and reportedly ) won't last forever.

I think that Zuck is now all-in with XR, and all these games are not relevant to Facebook’s current strategy, so the deal has not been completed. HTC discounts its headsets. HTC has started a good discount on its headsets that will last until the end of the month. Samsung Exynos 2200 introduces ray tracing on mobile.

But in China, they are very famous, and now they are also organizing a big event about XR called FBEC with hosts from all the major VR companies (HTC, Unity, Alibaba, Huawei, etc…). For example, we invited senior executives from HUAWEI, JBD, HTC, Alibaba, iQIYI, Qualcomm, Microsoft, and so on.
