Facebook and Microsoft publish two interesting research projects for VR. This week, Facebook and Microsoft have released two interesting works from their R&D department. Facebook has showcased how thanks to the use of hand-tracking gloves, it has been able to let people touch-type in VR.

We now know that it will surely run on Quest, that you won’t have lightsabers but blasters, and that it is still in track for a 2020 release.

You can take very long flights in Microsoft Flight Simulator or some very long driving sessions when racing “24 Heures du Mans”. It is very interesting that from these words, it seems that Facebook is not interested in releasing AR glasses for prosumers like Microsoft is doing with HoloLens, but it wants to enter the market with something already for consumers.
