The 2004 classic looks better than ever in VR. Crytek’s first-person shooter Far Cry can now be played in VR with motion controls thanks to a third-party mod from German developer Holger Frydrych. You may remember Frydrych for his work on the popular Half-Life 2 VR Mod , which lets you experience Valve’s iconic action shooter in 6DoF (six-degrees-of-freedom) VR.

Set to launch next week on August 24th on PSVR 2, Firewall Ultra is just around the corner. The future of indie VR gaming looks bright. SideQuest, the popular VR content platform specializing in indie games and apps, this week announced that it has partnered with mixed reality developer Creature to launch a $1 million creator fund catering specifically to independent VR developers. Creators are encouraged to submit pitches for their original VR games directly to Creature via an online application beginning on August 18th.

Capcom confirms Resident Evil 4 Remake's VR Mode will be playable for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show. Alongside the upcoming AR game Monster Hunter Now , Capcom revealed its TGS 2023 lineup includes the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake VR Mode on PSVR 2. Joining several flatscreen games like Street Fighter 6, Exoprimal and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, it's currently unknown what parts of Resident Evil 4 will be covered in this demo.
