Rebellion, the studio behind the Sniper Elite franchise, announced a new VR game coming to Quest this month: Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior. The studio threw out a reveal trailer in addition to announcing a pretty close release date; it’s coming to Quest 2/3/Pro on November 30th. Schell Games, the studio behind the I Expect You to Die VR puzzle series, showed off more of its upcoming VR game which is all about slaying vampires—and of course the ever-looming threat of a jumpscare if you fail. Coming in 2024 to Quest, the new trailer finally shows off some gameplay of Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire , which the studio initially announced back in June during Meta’s Quest Gaming Showcase.

Apple is reportedly still working on full body tracking for Vision Pro so the platform can eventually support fitness apps. Last week The Information's Wayne Ma reported that Apple cut full body tracking from Vision Pro "years ago" because its engineers "couldn’t make it reliable enough", but his reporting didn't mention whether or not the company was still working on it for post-launch.

After some new VR games in November 2023? We're once again rounding up our latest monthly highlights. It's hard to understate just how busy October was for VR gaming and following the Quest 3 release, we counted nearly 50 Quest 3 launch games. Those were mostly upgrades for existing games that often patched in mixed reality support, but many new experiences like Dungeons of Eternity , Genotype , Samba De Amigo: Virtual Party , The 7th Guest and Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord joined them.

HTC just released a software update for Vive XR Elite which includes a new beta direct touch mode. Vive XR Elite is HTC's latest standalone headset, and its first targeted to consumers instead of just businesses. It launched earlier this year, priced at $1100. XR Elite features the same kind of small early pancake lenses as 2021's Vive Flow, and uses the original Snapdragon XR2 chip also used in Quest 2.
