DPVR, a Chinese VR hardware and software education solution provider, is entering a strategic partnership with ASI Corporation to expand its global market reach to the United States and Canadian regions. DPVR looks to expand its headset portfolio into the western amusements, enterprise, education, and consumer sectors. The firm is already present in these Western markets; however, the ASI partnership will help boost this goal.

Apple’s significant impact on the market tends to draw attention from companies that might not have otherwise entered a specific product category—aka “The Apple Effect.” With the entrance of Apple Vision Pro, one such entity to follow suit is Stryker’s Mako , a robotic surgery group initially founded as a standalone company by Rony Abovitz, the founder and first CEO of AR unicorn Magic Leap.

cyubeVR is a Minecraft-inspired voxel sandbox that promises 8K textures, mod support and realistic crafting this week on PSVR 2. Developed by Stonebrick Studios, cyubeVR is an open-world procedurally generated sandbox that launched in 2018 on Steam Early Access. Featuring voxel visuals inspired by Minecraft, this fully destructible world features a dynamic weather system, day-and-night cycle and a 3D crafting system that promises "realistic" VR mechanics.

Synth Riders will receive a Party Mode next week on Apple Vision Pro. Following last month's launch, Synth Riders on Apple Vision Pro will receive its first major update on March 22. Developer Kluge Interactive states Party Mode lets you compete on the same device using Vision Pro's Guest Mode, allowing you to save song scores locally without affecting your ranking on Game Center leaderboards.

UNDERDOGS (2024) , the underground mech brawler from Racket: Nx (2019) studio One Hamsa , recently revealed the game’s development roadmap, which could also include a multiplayer mode in the future. The studio outlined a number of future updates coming to Underdogs, which launched on Quest 2/3/Pro and SteamVR headsets earlier this year. Legendary Tales and ForeVR Bowl took #1 across North America and Europe respectively in February's PSVR 2 charts. In the latest PlayStation Store charts , Sony confirmed February 2024's top downloads on PS4, PS5, PSVR and PSVR 2. Following another strong showing for Beat Saber in January, Legendary Tales took the top spot in North America following last month's full release.

Last week, Apple introduced its first public update to its debut XR device, improving many core features as the firm starts its spatial computing journey. The Apple Vision Pro was only released last month, and Apple is already moving forward to optimise the product for early adopters. Apple also released version 1.1 as a beta on February 8, meaning the firm’s developer-facing updates are a great insight into future Vision Pro iterations.

Cylindrical VR puzzler Twistex adds fully immersive environments on Quest App Lab. Launched last year, Twistex is a rotating falling block puzzler reminiscent of Tetris. Titled the ' Huge Update ', solo developer Middle Man Games says could be "the final version of the game" before moving on to its next project. Initially launched with mixed reality passthrough on App Lab, this latest patch adds the SteamVR port's non-passthrough environments to the Quest edition.
