Scientists Working On Smart Contacts Powered By Human Tears

Who needs an external battery when you have good old-fashioned emotions? Scientists based out of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) have begun working on augmented reality (AR) contact lenses capable of displaying virtual information in the real world. But here’s the really interesting part: according to an official release from the university, these high-tech contacts are powered by human tears.

Meta Launches Horizon Worlds For Smartphones Closed Beta As First Footage Emerges

Meta has opened a closed beta of Horizon Worlds on smartphones, and the first footage has emerged. Horizon Worlds is Meta’s “metaverse” platform. It works similarly to Rec Room , allowing users to create their own social games and experiences inside VR by using controllers to place & manipulate shapes, with a visual scripting system to add dynamic functionality.
