When I tried the Looxid Labs add-on for the Vive I’ve found it interesting, but its data were pretty noisy, and some community members defined it as “another random numbers generator”. Google makes Tilt Brush opensource. Google has just announced that the VR painting program Tilt Brush has been put opensource on GitHub.

Google unveils Starline communication solution. At Google I/O, Google has announced Project Starline, an interesting project it has worked on for five years. It feels like magic. I think it can become just the nth XR project that Google will abandon. More info (Use Google Translate).

Most people know Xu due to his dispute with American virtual reality company Magic Leap. In June 2019, Magic Leap accused Xu of stealing AR glasses technology when he was an engineer working at the firm. The company was later acquired by Google in 2010.
