Apple wasn’t the first to make a portable MP3 player, although it was the first to make one everyone wanted. Zooming out, Zune’s ultimate defeat belies a larger pattern of behavior.

This is going to be the week of the Apple Vision Pro, with the first people who preordered it finally receiving the device at home! Apple released a new trailer for the headset. Finally, we will have some real impressions on the device not coming from scripted demos. Anton Hand told me on X that “it’s already a dead platform”.
