According to a report from Business Insider , earlier this year Apple was on the verge of acquiring Leap Motion, but the deal fell through days before it was expected to close. According to the report, this is the second time in some six years that Apple had conversations with the company about an acquisition.

What an exciting week for technology, with the Facebook Connect, PS5 price announcement, Apple event and the release of RTX30 graphics cards! Even Apple uses modified ARM chips. The time for us XR developers to buy a Leap Motion 2 has finally come. What a time to be alive! No info has been given about the PSVR 2.

Today it’s a great day for virtual reality: at WCVRI conference, HTC has just announced a kit to provide 6 DOF controllers for Vive Focus and has showcased a hands-tracking technology for the Vive Pro ! Hands tracking for Vive Pro. Really fantastic.

Leap Motion. You may ask why I’m adding Leap Motion here. Well, during 2018, Leap Motion has announced the North Star reference design : a cheap augmented reality connected to PC, that is able to detect your hands very well thanks to Leap Motion’s sensor. Apple glasses.

HP and Microsoft have a long track in offering enterprise hardware, so this headset may battle HTC on his own land (B2B). Mova will be a 6DOF headset with 2 tracking cameras, working natively only with hands tracking (there is a controller for fallback, though). There will also be 5G connectivity. Some XR fun.
