Motion tracking is either done by the smartphone’s sensors or built-in headset sensors; thus, there are no cables hindering free movement. The great thing is, one can start for as cheap as fifteen bucks with the simplest headset from Google (Cardboard). Google Daydream View. Google Cardboard. Oculus Rift.

I had the pleasure of participating to the “VR Visionaries” event in Kaohsiung and then I headed to Taipei to meet some XR companies (like HTC ) and people. The first night there, while we were having dinner, I asked Michael (one of the organizers of the event) if people speak well English there.

We may know the field of view of Apple AR headset. Of course, since he has not an Apple HMD, the only thing he could obtain was the screen splitting in two on his phone, showing that view that we XR developers know very well.
