Another leak regarded the release date: an Amazon listing put the availability date of the Quest 3 starting from October, 10th. This week, Microsoft announced that MRTK will migrate to an independent GitHub account and that the project will be supported by a consortium including Microsoft, Magic Leap, and Qualcomm.

It isn’t alone, we know of many companies that are spending billions on same, including Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Sony, Magic Leap, Huawei, and others. Literally everyone in the industry other than Magic Leap and Apple uses Qualcomm’s spatial computing tech stack). Yes they think in 3D.

Google can count on the acquisition of North, the experience he has matured by producing Google Glass and investing in Magic Leap, and the fact that it owns the most-used mobile operating system. Magic Leap will meet its fate. Duck Face, Magic Leap One, and me. What about Magic Leap ?

The third major change came from Unity which recently announced that it will now be serving AR ads on mobile. Unity has one of the world’s largest mobile ad serving businesses and at the end of last year they partnered with Fossil to pilot this new ad format in mobile games.
