After a few days where we thought we were all living in a big oven, here in Italy we’re having the first taste of Autumn, with the temperatures going down and a lot of rain falling from the sky. Another leak regarded the release date: an Amazon listing put the availability date of the Quest 3 starting from October, 10th.

Someone invokes saviors like Google and Amazon, but even if they managed to succeed, they are other data-harvesting companies , so in any case, we are f**ked. That’s why even Microsoft took Epic’s stances : Microsoft uses UE4 to develop some products also for Apple devices, and this decision hurts also its business.

As a long-time AR enthusiast, and one of the first to have tried Google Glass in Italy, I have to admit that I will consider AR mainstream only when it will be on glasses that we will wear all day , when we’ll live in a completely shared mixed reality world (the AR Cloud). Didn’t work (Image by Microsoft). Sounded good.

I wrote a review on Magic Leap One because my friend (and ex partner ) Gianni made me try it. Is that VR event in the mountains of Italy really a good opportunity? and this is good from one side, but stressful on others… much thanks to air conditioning to make me survive in that oven that is Italy in these days!). Magic Leap has just rolled an important update. In the meanwhile, Puzzlar, the first indie game developed with the dev grants of Magic Leap, has been released.

This is due to several “false starts” with Google Glass , Microsoft HoloLens2, and Magic Leap, although the companies remain potential customers. Replacing parts required a person from Italy to hop on a plane and fly on-site to help with the repairs. Those days are totally gone and will never come back.
