USB should have OTG enabled; Battery : 3 hours nominal duration; Vive Focus Plus and controllers (Image by HTC). HTC provides streaming to Miracast devices , but lacks the streaming to the phone.

No grey zones like HTC did in the past. Apple headset will not be focused on gaming. A new report seems to suggest that the upcoming Apple headset won’t be focused on gaming at all. For sure mixed reality should be big with this headset because this device is being released in preparation for the future Apple AR glasses.

Apple is entering the XR field, and Facebook is currently dominating the VR market. Apple headset may be very lightweight. According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the upcoming Apple visor should weigh around 3–400g, which is much lighter than current headsets on the market, including the Quest 2.

In the end, it has not been Apple or Facebook, but Snap to make its first move in the AR glasses space. Quest 2 recalled from Amazon EU for skin irritation issue. Facebook is working with Amazon to solve all the bureaucratic stuff and we hope that sales can start again soon. HTC had $210 million as the total revenue for 2020.

HTC Vive is at the second place; Oculus Quest, even if it is so new, has already gathered a lot of interest from developers; Gaming is still the most popular content developed in XR, but now there is also interest in other kinds of applications , like entertainment (e.g. Apple moves top executive to AR glasses team. That is huge.
