The first product from the partnership is reportedly slated for 2025, priced at around $2000. Oculus Go was manufactured by Xiaomi, and Oculus Rift S was manufactured and co-designed by Lenovo. In both cases, the headset bore the partner company's logo on the side as well as the Oculus branding on the front.

This will be Zuckerberg's publicly-known trip to South Korea since 2014, when he visited Samsung to finalise the Gear VR smartphone headset partnership. Samsung handled the hardware for Gear VR, Oculus Go was manufactured by Xiaomi, and Oculus Rift S was manufactured and co-designed by Lenovo.

Google reportedly asked Meta to partner and "contribute to" its upcoming XR platform, but Meta said no. Meta has been working on it for at least seven years, as it first arrived in 2018's Oculus Go. But less than two years later in late 2019 Google abandoned the Daydream platform, and no other standalone headset ever used it.

Google Expeditions also had five virtual tours of major league baseball stadiums and a tour of the International Space Station. Another major Google virtual reality app is the 3D painting tool Tilt Brush.

We already know that Google, Samsung, and Qualcomm are working on a competitor of the Vision Pro, which should be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR Gen2+ and cost around $2000. The release of this headset is expected for the first half of 2025.
