The Oculus Quest 2 is selling incredibly well because it offers the right combination of affordable price, good hardware, and a good software ecosystem. Not to mention the millions spent on marketing , especially in the US (Oculus was one of the sponsors of NBA, for instance). The Quest will still be the king.

Waiting until now would mean that next VR game by Valve would come out in 2024–2025… do you really think they don’t want to make the ecosystem to grow now? Oculus Quest is available again in some countries. In some countries (not US), Oculus Quest and Rift S have got back in stock. Oculus rolls out runtime v15 for Quest.
