Or better, I can imagine who can be the names and they are all the big monoliths: Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon , etc… Only companies of this size could afford selling a good headset under cost and at the same time attract enough developers to publish VR games on their own new stores. The rise of enterprise.

Waiting until now would mean that next VR game by Valve would come out in 2024–2025… do you really think they don’t want to make the ecosystem to grow now? If you’re interested in these devices, have a look at Amazon and Oculus websites. Valve says that it was waiting to see the reception of Alyx before developing other games.
