And even the Oculus Quest is at $400, and they seem to be the $200 Oculus Go. Facebook is still investing in Oculus, obviously. well, failing.

For me this is not a fortunate sentence: this is what Alex Kipman said about the HoloLens, a few weeks before the whole Microsoft Mixed Reality division was disbanded and he was fired from the company. Meta is reported to launch a devkit of AR glasses, codenamed Orion, in 2024.

In virtual reality, you have to do this reprojection, Oculus calls it timewarp, and that means that your video card and your computer has to be running at a really high frame rate to correct for your head motion and we’ve rolled that all into the headset.
