So (a bit late) here you are a list of some of the most relevant XR trends to follow in 2024, with some predictions of what to expect next. These new headsets have hybrid virtual and mixed reality features, natural interactions and come at a high price : Vision Pro costs $3500 and the Samsung headset is rumored to be around $2000.

Sony is Qualcomm's 5th partner building a headset based on the XR2+ Gen 2 chipset. There's no mention of gaming, PlayStation 5 or the PlayStation VR2 brand in connection with the upcoming device, which is slated to release in 2024. Sony "and its partners" will announce specifications, "software compatibility" and details later.

Most probably the idea is to sell it at a lower cost so that it can attract more people to XR In 2024 release a new headset codenamed Ventura, which is cheaper than Quest 3. HTC has made its moves at MWC, too. I’m pretty excited by these growing rumors about Samsung because Samsung has always proposed interesting XR devices.
