Google chickened out , Microsoft got distracted , and it's totally understandable if you lost interest in VR when they did. Analog Concerns Oculus Rift prototype demo with Xbox controller, 2012. I'll go so far as to wager it's probably game over for Magic Leap and HoloLens and some other optically transparent approaches.
