HADO Looks Like Dragonball Z Meets Dodgeball, Play It In San Francisco

We haven’t gone hands on with this yet so we can’t say whether experiencing HADO is anything like this video. Nonetheless, it is an interesting concept for a game that uses augmented reality for an active sport that can now be played in San Francisco.

The experience combines motion sensors, a smartphone and a head-mounted display. It is available from Wednesday through Sunday until August 31 at 1746 Post Street in San Francisco. If someone tries it out, please share in the comments what it was like.

There are two game modes with up to six players total. One game mode is a monster battle with players fighting against a variety of baddies using fireballs and skills. There’s also a player versus player mode with three people on each side. You can launch energy balls and put up shields.

The experience originated in Japan but SCRAP Entertainment, known for its escape room games, partnered with meleap to debut this experience in the United States.
