The time has finally come: on the last day of 2023, Praydog has released to the world his first version of UEVR, a universal VR mod for all games made with Unreal Engine. It means that you can take whatever game made in Unreal Engine for flatscreen, apply this universal mod, and immediately transform it into a VR game!

Also noteworthy: Final Cut Pro X will be able to support 360 video editing, Unity and Unreal now have VR support for Macs, and SteamVR is coming to Mac… and although there was a sweet on-stage mixed reality demo using Star Wars assets and an HTC Vive, there was no mention of support for Oculus.

My friend Nicolas Esposito of Enter Reality has released Project Rigel, his solution to provide full-body tracking and motion capture for Unreal Engine.

Sony and Verizon have partnered to create the next generation of VR concerts and have announced this partnership at CES. The environment where she has performed in was made in Unreal Engine and the modeling and the shading was so good that for a moment I thought it was a real studio.
