Who took home the big awards?

This year's British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards saw some impressive winners.

The Benedict Cumberbatch-starrer The Power of the Dog bagged some top honours including best film, Dune won five prizes, Licorice Pizza was widely nominated and took home best original screenplay, and Disney's Encanto won best animated film.

The ceremony held at London's Royal Albert Hall on Sunday came at a time when messages of solidarity for Ukraine are vital amid Russia's invasion. BAFTA chair Krishnendu Majumdar gave opening remarks, saying, "We stand in solidarity with those who are bravely fighting for their country and we share their hope for a return to peace."

Other memorable appearances and moments came in varied forms: Emma Watson's long-awaited return to the red carpet resulted in an iconic quote (probably aimed at a certain author): "I'm here for all the witches." Rebel Wilson, meanwhile, turned first-time host with jokes synonymous to her brand.

But the best part of it all? The awards, of course. Read on for the complete list — here are the winners of the 2022 BAFTAs.
