The International Electro/Information Technology Conference, sponsored by the IEEE Region 4 (R4), focused on basic/applied research results in the fields of electrical and computer engineering as they relate to Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and related applications.

Mats Johansson spoke at a forum of engineers, researchers, and industrial investigators to exchange ideas and discuss developments in their growing fields. There were also exhibits where the latest electro/information technology tools and products were showcased. It was an opportunity for professional activities development, workshops, and tutorials. The main discussion was around EON Enterprise Virtual Trainer (EVT) and the EON Reality EON-XR Platform in the medical field.

Augmented and Virtual Reality (EON-XR) medical applications provide an ideal platform for advanced medical education, enabling students and specialists to master their field through deliberate practice before engaging with patients. Anatomical functions and structures that are extremely difficult to visualize through traditional means can be realistically represented through Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality apps designed for medical studies.

Because of the sensory and experiential of VR and AR, learners of all three modalities – kinesthetic, visual, and auditory – benefit from Augmented and Virtual Reality medical solutions and achieve faster learning while developing higher level cognitive skills.
