Samsung’s Leaked AR Concept Videos Reveal Its Augmented Ambitions

Leaked concept video featuring two Samsung AR devices has come to light. Known leaker ‘ WalkingCat ‘ released two videos showing a pair of separate device concepts. If Samsung AR Glasses did exist as we see them in the video above, it would signify a truly magic leap in mobile processing.

The first huge leak we had this week was a full unboxing video of the device. This time was not some hotel employees finding some random Quest boxes, but a n anonymous guy uploading the unboxing video on Reddit. The video was later republished by “VR Panda” on Twitter.

Nreal Launches $600 ‘Light’ AR Glasses in United States via Verizon

Relative to enterprise-focused AR headsets like Magic Leap 2 and HoloLens 2, it’s also less expensive due to the inclusion of cheaper and less complicated optics, called ‘birdbath’ optics, which project light from a microdisplay to the eye via what’s essentially a curved see-through mirror (among other things).

Apple Vision Pro Will Support WebXR for Fully Immersive Experiences in the Browser

With Apple now officially supporting WebXR, the standard can claim truly widespread support; WebXR is now supported, at least in some capacity, by Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, and Safari, as well as the Quest browser, Pico browser, Magic Leap Browser, Chrome for Android, Samsung Internet, Opera Mobile, and Firefox for Android.
