Microsoft signs a $22B deal with the US Army. We all know that Microsoft is building AR glasses for the US Army : a modified version of HoloLens 2 called IVAS, that is ruggedized, with a wider field of view (80° x 40°), and feature additional sensors (for instance to provide thermal vision). Well played, Microsoft.

Magic Leap releases its SDK. We still haven’t seen a Magic Leap device , but at least now we can see its SDK. The Florida company has released during the GDC the Lumin SDK, that is the development kit that has to be used to develop for LuminOS, the custom operating system of the Magic Leap device.

Microsoft has acquired Zenimax for $7.5B. In-between the console wars, Microsoft has bought Bethesda’s parent company, Zenimax, for $7.5B. Microsoft has not announced a VR headset for the Xbox, but could it be interested in creating more VR games for PC? Magic Leap may partner with AWS. Let’s dream!).
