Madefire, the minds behind the Motion Books 3D comic format and publishing platform, today released a new app for Magic Leap One that will let users not only publish their own 3D ‘motion comic’ creations directly to the AR headset, but also experience a number of comics in the Madefire catalog. Magic Leap says there is “50+ world-class series” reimagined for the company’s developer-focused AR headset.

Magic Leap. Me, wearing a Magic Leap One. The most important news has been for sure the launch of the Magic Leap One. You may hate or love Magic Leap, but the fact that it has released a product is for sure a great news for all the ecosystem : if after all those investments, that startup failed, it would have had a ripple effect on all the ecosystem, making investors lose trust in augmented reality. OSVR - a Look Ahead

Acer, NVIDIA, Valve, Ubisoft, Leap Motion and many others joined the ecosystem. We see goggles, motion trackers, haptics, eye trackers, motion chairs and body suits. Augmented reality tools detect objects in video feeds. Magic Leap is not commercial yet. Introduction OSVR is an open source software platform and VR goggle. Sensics and Razer launched OSVR 18 months ago with the intent of democratizing VR.

The name made many people recall the CTRL+Labs startup acquired by Facebook, which makes people use their hands as if they were magical Jedis. And also some people of my family are now enjoying it since it is a great tool to escape the isolation we are forced into. Today is the day!
