While many other AR glasses (like Nreal Light or HoloLens 2 ) have a Field Of View in the 50° ballpark, RealMax glasses have always had ones above 100° , for a more immersive augmented experience. And after you try it, you can’t go back, because it is SO MUCH immersive, augmented reality really becomes your reality.

On the contrary, Microsoft has worked a lot on the platform, to make it more appealing to enterprise customers. Project North Star is an opensource reference design for a wide-FOV augmented reality headset that Leap Motion (now Ultraleap ) has given to the community. The hand tracking was fabulous as always thanks to Leap Motion and its Orion tracking. What was inferior to Microsoft’s headset was, of course, the tracking.

The Models Varjo says while rival headsets are catering to “2D productivity use cases”, its 4 th generation series will create deeply immersive experiences for industrial customers in search of exceptional visual fidelity and performance. The XR-4 series also supports UltraLeap’s Leap Motion 2 hand-tracking module for custom requirements.

The fact that all immersive technologies have been flagged as mature by it means that many more companies will believe in their potential and will want to implement them.
