VR Fitness Platform ‘Supernatural’ Adds Meditation Coaching, Family Plan

As gyms around the globe struggle, Supernatural is offering a family plan to help you get back into shape.

WITHIN’s Supernatural is a VR fitness experience designed to take full advantage of the Oculus Quest’s tetherless inside-out tracking. The fitness-focused experience completely immerses you in breathtaking scenic environments where you duck, punch, and move side-to-side as you slash targets and avoid obstacles, resulting in a full-body cardio blast that will leave your heart racing.

Considering the average cost of a traditional gym membership costs around $58 per month—or $696 a year—Supernatural offers a pretty sweet workout alternative at $179 a year. Of course, there’s always room for improvement.

Earlier today, WITHIN announced big changes to their annual membership plan. Beginning today, Supernatural players can add up to four profiles to a single membership at no extra cost. This means you are able to share your Supernatural account with up to three members of your household, lowering the annual price to just $44.75 per person. The only caveat is that each of the four memberships must be accessed on the same Quest headset. So make sure you have plenty of disinfecting wipes handy to wipe down your headset.

Once paired to your headset, the Supernatural companion app allows you to access your own personal workout history and community profile, which you can use to track your progress and challenge other players. You’ll also get a year’s worth of personalized cardio workouts from top notch trainers who will work with you to make sure you’re getting the best workout possible. A killer soundtrack accompanies each VR fitness session to inspire you throughout your sessions.

In addition to these killer membership updates, WITHIN has also announced the addition of guided meditation courses. Users can now immerse themselves in amazing destinations, such as Vestrahorn or Iceland, where they can calm their minds and bodies after getting their butts kicked by Supernatural trainer, Leanne Pedante.

WITHIN has also improved Supernatural’s existing workout experience, making it easier for members to slip into a flow state, otherwise known as “the zone”. To do this, WITHIN worked with neuroscientists to improve two key areas of their fitness experience.

Haptic Tails

By incorporating improved haptic vibrations at the end of certain movements, these “haptic tails” assist in making you feel more connected to the experience by mimicking the natural decay of the music being played during the workout, deepening the immersion so you get more joy and satisfaction as you move.

Target Travel System

Improving the way targets travel towards you during workouts gives you a cleaner perspective of movement patterns while simultaneously incorporating more realistic physics into your movements. This helps you see and anticipate movement patterns better, making it easier for you to slip into that previously-mentioned flow state.

With the addition of Haptic Tails and the Target Travel System, Supernatural now serves as an all-in-one VR solution for maintaining proper mental and physical health.

Considering many gyms around the world are still struggling to stay afloat, subscribing to a Supernatural family-plan and working out from the safety of your home seems like an absolute no-brainer. So why not!

Supernatural is available now on Oculus Quest for $179 a year or $19 a month. Each option will allow for up to four members per household. There’s also a free 30-day trial if you’d like to test the waters first.
