In an effort to help combat the ever-evolving AIDS epidemic plaguing South Africa, EON Reality Tshwane’s VR Innovation Academy students were tasked by the City of Tshwane Health Department to create an HIV/AIDS awareness VR application. This opened the application up to as many users as possible within the South African market.

The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo now lets visitors go beyond the glass and having an astonishingly intimate encounter with sea life thanks to the HTC Vive. VR is becoming an increasingly important tool in raise the awareness of many campaigns like these. The installation was setup with the help of Emaar Entertainment.

Curiscope, the makers of the mixed reality Virtuali-tee educational app, just launched Operation Apex (2017), an underwater exploration and adventure game developed in partnership with HTC Vive Studios. Curiscope created Operation Apex under the guidance of South Africa-based research and conservation organization Oceans Research.
