A new FCC listing appears for an HTC Vive headset. While Oculus is getting all the glory for the Quest, its competitors are not sleeping. And in fact, a new request to FCC for a new device has arrived from HTC. Since HTC has always made announcements during the CES, I think it will be announced in January.

HTC has revealed the design of the Vive Cosmos. HTC has finally unveiled some information on the Vive Cosmos. HTC has told in the past that this is a headset more consumer-oriented , but Sebastian Ang of Mixed Reality TV has reported that, according to a reliable source, the price will be 899. Oculus has teased the OC6.

Back at CES, Oculus announced that Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi would exclusively bring its own branded version of the standalone Oculus Go headset to China. The Xiaomi Mi VR Standalone headset is identical hardware to the forthcoming Oculus Go, the $200 standalone headset that Oculus announced late last year.

Also noteworthy: Final Cut Pro X will be able to support 360 video editing, Unity and Unreal now have VR support for Macs, and SteamVR is coming to Mac… and although there was a sweet on-stage mixed reality demo using Star Wars assets and an HTC Vive, there was no mention of support for Oculus.

HTC has finally revealed the price of the Vive Pro : it will cost $799 just to have the headset (no controller and no base stations, so you must already have a Vive 1 kit) and will be available for pre-orders since April, 5th. But, as Road To VR has stated, maybe HTC should have clarified that in all its marketing material.
