Jaunt Launches Custom App on PSVR

Just in time for the holiday season, cinematic VR pioneer, Jaunt, has launched its custom Jaunt VR App for PlayStation VR, adding it to their existing integrations in iOS, Android, Gear VR, Google Daydream, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and major desktop browsers.

Jaunt President and CEO George Kliavkoff is excited by the prospect of introducing PlayStation’s enormous customer base (PS4’s recently surpassed 50 million) to the 150+ cinematic VR experiences in the app’s catalogue—something he believes will aid in mainstream VR adoption by expanding users’ notions of what kinds of content they engage with on the PlayStation platform.

“We’re thrilled to introduce our dynamic list of immersive VR experiences to users on a platform that is quickly evolving to be more than a gaming console,” Kliavkoff.

Users with high-bandwidth Internet will be able to take part in Jaunt’s travel, sports, music, film, and horror experiences in the same hi-res, low-latency head-tracking mode as Oculus Rift and HTC Vive—the highest existing quality for engagement—making an excellent introduction for new and established users alike.

“We’re committed to entertaining our users, wherever they may be,” said Kliavkoff. “And the Jaunt VR App for PSVR not only brings hours of cinematic VR content to viewers worldwide, but also ensures that Jaunt continues to be available on every major consumer VR platform available.”
