Empowering the Hybrid Workforce: Nimo Planet Launches Spatial Computing for Productivity

San Francisco-based company Nimo Planet has unveiled its spatial computing system, consisting of the Nimo Operating System (Nimo OS) Nimo Core compact computer, and Nimo Glass.

These offerings create a personalized, multi-screen virtual workspace for the hybrid workforce. With a combination of hardware and software, the system delivers a power-user experience for productivity applications. The pocket-size Nimo Core compute device and virtual display provided by Nimo Glass allow professionals to enjoy a multi-monitor setup without being tied to a traditional desk.

Nimo Planet CEO Rohildev Nattukallingal developed the system to address the limitations of smart devices in terms of usability and portability. The compact Nimo Core device optimizes resource efficiency and positions 2D applications in varying depths to render up to six high-fidelity 3D screens within the physical world. It incorporates user-centric design elements such as a trackpad and Air Mouse for easy navigation of Nimo OS applications and connection of input devices.

Nimo OS is built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Linux, providing stability and versatility. It supports Mac and Windows applications through USB-C or Remote Desktop, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of software. Nimo Planet's technology has been granted a U.S. utility patent for Nimo OS Spatial Workspace and Multi-Window Architecture, as well as an India design patent for Nimo Glass.

Early investors, including Ravi and Raguram Linganuri, Jitendra Chouksey, and Jayanti Kanani, have shown support for Nimo Planet. Ritesh Malik, founder and CEO of Innov8, has joined the company's board. Nimo Planet's spatial computing system is currently in the beta stage, and interested consumers can reserve a spot for purchase on the official website.
