I’m not surprised at all: I’m more surprised actually that Facebook entered the hardware business than I am for Facebook doing ads in AR and VR. The undercost hardware subsidized by other forms of content is something that consoles have made far before Facebook. It builds its own hardware. Personally, I did not.
