Save $301.99: Build a perfect home theater without hurting your budget. Start off with the Sony X80J 65-inch 4K TV on sale for $698 at Walmart, which as of May 4 is 30% off its original price.

If you have the itch to finally upgrade your home entertainment setup, start with a good TV. And you don't need to spend over your budget if you want the best features for streaming and gaming. There are plenty of 4K TVs that fit the "entry-level" category while still offering all of the latest tech.

Take for instance the Sony X80J 65-inch 4K Google TV that's on sale for $698 at Walmart (add the TV to your shopping cart to see the sale price). Annoyingly, Walmart does appear to inflate the original price to make the discount appear larger. But you still save 30% on a 2021 TV model, which just beats out Best Buy's current price while it's only available at Amazon through third-party sellers at higher prices.

While it's an entry-level TV, the Sony X80J offers plenty of performance. It's powered by a 4K HDR Processor X1 to create smooth and clear images full of color and high contrasts. With Sony's 4K X-Reality Pro technology, it upscales all HD content to near 4K resolutions for even more detail. The Triluminos Pro feature will also reproduce more natural colors than standard TVs.

It's also a great TV to watch all types of action on with Motionflow XR that works to keep fast actions smooth, whether it's action movies, live sports, or your favorite games. And while it lacks the most advanced features you find in newer TVs for next-gen gaming, its motion-handling, fast response times, and HDR still makes it a great but affordable gaming TV. And as a Google TV, you can browse movies and shows across all of your preferred streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney+, and Apple TV.
