According to the Taiwan Stock Exchange, HTC will halt trading of its stock as of September 21st, pending an unknown announcement from the company, reports Bloomberg. Google—which is increasingly expanding its hardware business in the smartphone, connected home, and AR/VR sectors—has been fingered as one of the likely buyers.

Lenovo Mirage Solo, the Google Daydream standalone VR headset, just passed an important milestone that could mean commercialization in mainland China isn’t far away. The Mirage Solo is already currently available in the special economic and administrative zones of Hong Kong for HK $3,200 (~$400) and Taiwan for NT $15,000 (~$480).
