Apple has also unveiled that the ZEISS Optical Inserts will be available in two types: Readers, priced at $99, and Prescription, available for $149. Some immersive games will be available at launch: Game Room, What the Golf?, Apple will open the preorders next Friday, that is January, 19th at 5 am PT. and Super Fruit Ninja.

Talking about the optics system of the Vision Pro, there are still many unknowns about the ZEISS prescription lenses associated with the device. But I’m trying to look at it trying to analyze what it may mean: a very successful VR game is abandoning one of the platforms it is in… it means that there is something wrong with that platform.

Apple is working with ZEISS to offer optional optical inserts for the product, including “Readers” for $99 and prescription standard optics for $149. This restructuring comes after teaming up with Qualcomm and Samsung to use the newly announced Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset for enhancing smart glasses.
