Tim Bartow is a filmmaker and writer hailing from Kansas City, Missouri. Despite the limitations of his body, now he can use VR to see the world. As one of only 100 Americans affected by the extremely rare genetic disorder Lesch Nyhan, which results in celebral palsy, Tim uses a wheelchair.

Increasing Reach I was at a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium, and a Coke promotion appeared on the scoreboard during a timeout. Why would they want their customers to exit the camera and go to a third-party app to get content to enhance their moments? Why not put it right there at their fingertips?

It seems different from your previous works… When I was a boy my grandfather was a cattle rancher in the Flint Hills of southeastern Kansas. Audiences can choose how they want to experience the story: as an active participant in VR, or as a film goer, where they can simply sit back and let the story wash over them.

Alan: Here’s the issue: 360 cameras cost $200, and somebody can go film there their holiday vacation, make it all unstable, throw in a VR headset, and start showing people. Otherwise, it’s just a “wow” thing. And people will go, “that’s VR? Oh, that sucks.” Barry: Yeah.
