This Monday, Engage XR launched LINK, an enterprise-grade metaverse platform which provides businesses with persistent virtual offices, venues, and environments. Furthermore, the launch of the LINK product completes ENGAGE’s transition into a metaverse technology company.

ENGAGE Link operates various “Metaworlds”, which enterprise clients run as a persistent, always online business hub. ENGAGE also enables users to move between Metaworlds via immersive portals, which the firm improved on in its version three update ahead of LINK’s debut.

The platform also contains Virtual Campus, Virtual Office, and Virtual Events as integrated sister solutions to suit different enterprise use cases. LINK contains unified hubs where users can move between tailor-made spaces for socialisation, collaboration, and training.

David Whelan, the CEO of ENGAGE XR, said:

While other metaverses have focused on the social, advertising and entertainment opportunities, we have focused on creating a platform that will allow companies to better engage with their employees, customers, and suppliers around the world, and educational institutions to engage with their students.

Additionally, users can operate the LINK service on various devices from headset manufacturers like Meta, Pico, and HTC VIVE.

Bespoke MetaWorlds

ENGAGE designed the LINK platform for corporations, professionals, education organisations, and event organisers to operate custom virtual spaces. The platform’s integrated creative design tools enable inexperienced users to create presentations and events utilising real-time 3D (RT3D) assets from ENGAGE’s built-in library of immersive content. Alternatively, users can import various custom file types to suit their needs.

Enterprise clients can develop bespoke Metaworlds internally, or developers can collaborate with the ENGAGE team to assist with RT3D world design. Metaworlds provide digital-ready businesses with a space to communicate with customers, employees, and suppliers.

ENGAGE LINK provides a wide-customer base with various tools and environments to enhance remote communication and guidance.

David also added:

With a greater focus than ever before on sustainability and hybrid working, the stage is set for the professional metaverse to change how companies conduct business, and how they communicate with employees, customers, and each other.

The platform’s persistent design means users can visit and socialise with other professionals in bespoke client-built Metaworld anytime. The persistent environment supports features such as a stock exchange rolling ticker.

Purpose-built Plazas

ENGAGE LINK builds its world upon various locations known as Plazas. The service uses digital portals, which a user walks through to transport themselves into a business’ virtual Metaworld.

ENGAGE is enticing many firms to participate in virtual business operations on LINK. The firm already has a vast range of initial enterprise clients that are leveraging LINK for virtual meetups, training days, product launches, demonstrations, and events. Some of ENGAGE LINK’s launch partners include KPMG US, KIA, Adtalem, MTN Group and Musician/Producer Fatboy Slim.

Additionally, Jason McGuigan, the Head of Commercial VR at LINK launch partner Lenovo, added:

Lenovo is creating cutting-edge solutions like the ThinkReality VRX so our customers can adopt and scale immersive experiences for work. Lenovo’s presence on ENGAGE Link is a valuable opportunity to interact with customers, developers and leaders from the XR industry to explore and create value together.

LINK Launch Plazas

ENGAGE LINK contains four initial Plaza environments, purpose-built for its enterprise clients, including:

  • Enterprise Plaza is a unifying hub allowing ENGAGE LINK’s major enterprise clients to collaborate and socialise. Businesses, including HTC, KIA, KPMG US, Lenovo, and MTN, currently use the space.
  • Education Plaza is a virtual educational hub providing classroom space for training and learning. Moreover, ENGAGE launched its service as an immersive educational group before the company expanded to enterprise coverage, making it a trusted teaching tool. Education groups, including Optima Ed, Adtalem, the University of Miami Patti & Allan Herbert Business School, and Stanford University, have set up shop on LINK. Additionally, VictoryXR works with the ENGAGE LINK platform to host its “Metaversities” project; the Meta-funded program created digital twins of ten US universities that 1000s of students can access virtually via LINK.

  • LINK’s Creative Plaza invites brands, artists, content studios, and creatives to collaborate on innovative design projects and produce boundary-pushing ideas within a Metaverse space. In early 2023, Fatboy Slim will perform a full concert in the Creative Plaza Metaworld.
  • Additionally, The Central Plaza is LINK’s starting world and the first thing users see when they log into the LINK immersive space. In this Plaza, visitors can travel between Plazas via a portal or interact with others.
