Valve Founder’s Neural Interface Company to Release First Brain Chip This Year

Valve founder Gabe Newell’s neural chip company Starfish Neuroscience announced it’s developing a custom chip designed for next-generation, minimally invasive brain-computer interfacesand it may be coming sooner than you think. Industry Insider Expects New Valve XR Headset to Launch in 2026

It appears Valve has been developing a standalone XR headset, codenamed ‘Deckard’, for some time. Now, an industry insider has apparently gotten a peek at the headset’s design, calling it “quite amazing,” further noting it’s potentially arriving sometime next year. Meta Horizon OS v77 Tests Total UI Overhaul & Turning Instagram Photos 3D

Called Navigator, Meta announced the new system interface at Connect 2024 back in September, revealing its name and showing a short teaser clip.
