Can Google’s ‘Live View’ Popularize AR?

Google VPS (visual positioning system) walking directions went live yesterday under the name Live View. Residing in the Google Maps app for iOS and Android devices, it provides a 3D spatial interface for walking directions in urban areas. Live View was already available on newer Pixel phones and for a small set of Local Guides who were essentially beta testing the product.

VR Attraction The VOID Plans to More Than Double in Size with 25 New Locations

Out-of-home VR attraction chain The VOID may soon reach a city near you. The company recently announced plans to introduce 25 new locations through 2022, more than doubling its current footprint. Just a week prior to the July 25th announcement, the company announced that it had officially opened three new entertainment center locations in Atlanta, Minneapolis, and Washington D.C., totalling in 13 ‘premium’ locations (out of 16 permanent locations) now open to the public.

Hatsune Miku VR to Add Support for PlayStation VR

When it comes to dancing Japanese characters in virtual reality (VR), Hatsune Miku tends to sit near the top of that tree. Hatsune Miku VR saw a PC VR launch via Steam in 2018 for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, followed by Oculus Store a couple of months ago. Soon it’ll be the turn of PlayStation VR, with developer Crypton Future Media making the announcement today.
