Today I want to tell you about two companies that I met at CES that made me think about the future of immersive realities: Attention Labs , which lets people focus on a specific conversation in mixed reality, and 2Pi Optics , which builds very small metalenses. Let me tell you why I think these two companies are working on something that is very cool.

Stress Level Zero’s physics-based sandbox follow-up BONELAB (2022) has done spectacularly well on Quest, although the studio still hasn’t brought its award-winning physics action puzzler BONEWORKS (2019) to Meta’s latest standalone hardware generation. That’s about to change. If you haven’t played on PC VR headset, Boneworks is a narrative VR action-adventure using advanced experimental physics mechanics.

Meta announced that Supernatural now boasts over 100,000 users, putting its first-party fitness app’s revenue in the millions. Launched in 2020, Supernatural gamifies fitness with some very Beat Saber- inspired orb-smashing mechanics, which is set to the beat of a poppy soundtrack led by personal coaches in a variety of picturesque locales. Now, Meta has released its first user figures for Supernatural, saying in a blog post it now counts 110,000 users of the app.

Like millions of kids in the 1990s, my first experience with puzzle-adventure games was Myst. The jaw-dropping graphics and cryptic storytelling lit my imagination, but my young age, the extreme obtuseness of the game's puzzles, and the gameplay's intense loneliness squelched that flame. Thirty years later, as I reach the halfway point of Epyka, I suddenly realize I'm playing the game I always wanted Myst to be.

Boneworks, Stress Level Zero's experimental physics-driven VR sandbox, is heading to Quest 3. Initially launched in 2019 on Steam , the critically acclaimed Boneworks had remained a PC VR exclusive despite the follow-up game, Bonelab , also arriving on Quest. If you read my previous Rokid Max AR glasses review from 2023, youll already know that I think Rokids specs are pretty impressive. The Rokid Max 2 glasses, which build on the previous model with a slightly sleeker design, are a decent upgrade. Notably, I dont think these glasses add much from a technical specifications perspective. The visuals are almost exactly the same, though you do get a slightly larger virtual screen.

Survival horror hit MADiSON VR is now available on Quest. Seen in last month's UploadVR Winter Showcase , publisher Perp Games and developer Bloodious Games confirmed psychological horror game MADiSON VR would launch on Quest soon.
