Linden Lab unveils the scariest experiences created by the Sansar user community since it opened in Creator Beta in July. I am often impressed by the way the Sansar VR platform looks. Some of it might be buggy, but overall, the slick visuals you see on its user-generated experiences wouldn’t look out of place in a AAA game. In the social VR space, still dominated by blocky avatars and limited landscapes, the sheer variety and polish in Sansar makes it stand out—in a good way.

While the game’s main campaign won’t be playable on PSVR, a new trailer gives us a fresh glimpse of what Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown’s Playstation VR mode will look like. Ace Combat is a long-running franchise of jet combat games published by Bandai Namco. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown , announced way back in 2015, won’t launch until some time in 2018, but it’s the first title in the franchise to offer VR support.

Developer CCP Games has significantly cut the time and money it is investing in virtual-reality based game s. A VR studio in Atlanta is being shut down, while another in Newcastle, UK, is being sold off. The latter spearheaded the development of EVE Valkyrie. About 30 jobs are being lost during the restructure, and staff has been given “severance packages” and a promise that company would help them find other work.

Farpoint (2017), PSVR’s bug-shooting showcase for the mightily impressive PS Aim, has had one free expansion so far, the ‘Cryo Pack’ , which added additional co-op levels and challenge mode. Now the game is getting its next free DLC in the form of ‘Versus’, an update that adds a 1v1 multiplayer mode and bumps the game’s weapon roster up from 5 to 20.
