A big sale on PSVR 2 pushed the headset’s holiday sales volume on Amazon US higher than might have been expected, selling nearly five times more than last year. PSVR 2’s Black Friday and holiday sale brought a huge 42% discount on the Horizon bundle of the headset , dropping the US price from $550 to $350. Predictably, the sale increased the sales volume of the headset, but by even more than one might have expected.

Ready At Dawn was working on one of the "most revolutionary VR games ever" when Meta shut it, the studio's co-founder claims. Seven months after the shutdown, Ready At Dawn co-founder Andrea Pessino gave a two hour interview with MinnMax about the studio's history, including its time under Meta. According to Pessino, the Facebook-owned Oculus originally "saved" Ready At Dawn by contracting the studio to build the original Lone Echo, and was "amazing" to work with.

Best known in VR for 2016's The Climb and Robinson: The Journey , German developer Crytek confirmed that roughly 60 members of its 400 employees are being laid off across its development teams and shared services.
