Sony Sells Nearly 1 Million PSVR Headsets

Sony revealed official sales figures for the PlayStation 4-powered VR headset, PSVR. Through Feb. 19 the company sold 915,000 headsets, Sony revealed in an interview with the New York Times. The figure joins the previously revealed number of 5 million Samsung Gear VR headsets sold so far as the only solid data we have about the size of the VR market.

Sony is the first of the big three tethered VR headset makers to drop official PSVR sales figures: 915,000 PlayStation VR headsets sold as of February 19. And it likely could have been more, save for the fact that the device has been surprisingly hard to find in stock, the company says. Report: Vive Users Are 95 Percent Male And Spend 5 Hours Per Week in VR

The following data was sourced from “2,5000+ participants including 62 percent Vive users and 32 percent non-Vive users,” according to the company. So it appears that the long-running Fire Pro Wrestling franchise will be getting its first installment since 2012. Spike Chunsoft has launched a teaser site and video titled "Pro Wrestling. They also added 3/2(GDC?) to the Japanese twitter page. This matches up with the petition that they put out 10 months ago to gauge interest in a new game. I'm getting bodyslammed by Fire Pro Wrestling fans!

All active grids with infringing content have addressed the problem, according to VirTec owner Virtouse Lilienthal, one of the affected content creators. VirTec makes a multi-grid OpenSim vending system which has machines that report back to a central server. As a result, Lilienthal was able to discover that the machines were popping up on grids where he didn’t not have any customers.
