Report: Steam Support for Windows VR Headsets Won’t Be Ready at Launch

Microsoft’s Windows VR headsets (branded as ‘Mixed Reality’) are nearly ready to ship , coming alongside the launch of Windows Fall Creators Update in mid-October. The release of SteamVR support for all Windows VR headsets, revealed last week, could take a little longer than anticipated to realize though. Microsoft recently co-announced with Valve that the headsets will support SteamVR content , but didn’t say exactly when it would transpire.

Acclaimed author Khaled Hosseini’s short story inspired by Alan Kurdi—the three-year-old Syrian refugee who drowned in the Mediterranean Sea in 2015—has been illustrated using Tilt Brush for a unique 360 degree short film. Sea Prayer is the latest of several thought-provoking VR experiences from The Guardian VR team. The seven minute piece is viewable on The Guardian ’s website via a YouTube 360 video link , or on the native The Guardian VR Daydream app.

‘Eternity Warriors VR’ Coming to Steam Early Access this Month
