Onward (2020) , the tactical mil-sim shooter from Meta-owned Downpour Interactive , is getting a big 2.0 update soon. It’s been a long time coming too, as the game’s last major update was nearly one year ago. Onward hasn’t been abandoned, although it has seen fairly light updates in the year since the studio released its big ‘Mercenary’ update, which brought to the game in February 2024 a PVE mode and various graphic tweeks.

Steel Wool Studios announced the release date of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic earlier this week, coming to PS5 and PC on June 13th. While the game was previously shown on PSVR 2, the studio has now removed any mention of PSVR 2 support, which is raising some eyebrows. Initially shown at PAX West 2024 in a playable PSVR 2 demo, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic was ostensibly set to be a VR and flatscreen hybrid offering from the XR studio.

VR tactical shooter Onward will receive a major revamp in this year's 2.0 update. Over eight years since its initial launch, multiplayer shooter Onward will now receive its biggest update ever this year. Meta confirmed this will introduce a massive graphical overhaul across weapons and utilities, new map content, and a new Operator system with over 20 new characters being introduced.

Alien: Rogue Incursion initially launched on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets in December, bringing the first VR-native game to the storied ‘Alien’ franchise. Now, developer Survios has finally released the game on Quest 3. In our launch-day review , we noted the game’s Xenomorph encounters, highlighted by the enemy’s raptor-like hunting style, were indeed pulse-raising, although were overly encumbered by the sheer repetition of random encounters.

These announcements come from EssilorLuxottica's CEO Francesco Milleri during the company's Q4 2024 earnings call this week. EssilorLuxottica owns the Ray-Ban brand. The Ray-Ban Meta glasses launched in October 2023, and a few weeks ago Mark Zuckerberg told staff that 1 million were sold in 2024.
