After launching on PC VR & Oculus mobile VR headsets last year, Catan VR is finally making its way to PSVR. The VR version of the 1995 classic board game Settlers of Catan first launched on the Oculus Store for Gear VR and Rift in March 2018, with Oculus Go support arriving shortly afterwards when the mobile headset launched back in May 2018. A version for Vive, Rift, and Windows VR came via Steam a few months later.

Freediver: Triton Down launched quietly at the end of May, and while the $9 price reflects its short playtime, the title demonstrates a strong grasp of VR game design with a ‘swimming’ locomotion mechanic which is woven into the underlying gameplay. From developer Archiact, Freediver: Triton Down is a total departure (in all the right ways) from the studio’s previous title, Evasion (2018).

Following months of steep discounts, most of the Windows VR headsets have vanished from Microsoft’s online store and are showing limited or no stock at other retailers. Microsoft has yet to offer an explanation, but signs are pointing toward discontinuation of some headsets. Six different companies have offered one or more Windows VR headsets—Samsung, Lenovo, HP, Dell, Asus, and Acer—since the introduction of the Windows Mixed Reality platform back in 2017.
