Huawei’s VR ambitions seem to be materializing in the form of a bonafide mobile VR headset, as a recent FCC filing has revealed the existence of a VR controller featuring a design that ought to raise a few eyebrows. We got a chance to go hands on with a Huawei mobile VR headset earlier this year at CES. The headset we tried proved to be very similar in design to Gear VR, which accepted both Huawei Mate 9 Pro or Porsche Design Mate 9 smartphones but ran Google’s Daydream platform.

Back in May of this year Google announced the creation of an AI (AutoML) that is able to design better AIs. AutoML built a new AI that’s called NASNet that is used to recognize objects. NASNet outperformed its human designed counterparts and the methods used to develop it seems to be the future of advanced AI. The Google researchers automated the design of machine learning models using an approach called reinforcement learning.

Wands (2017) , the first-person magic-dueling game, is available today for HTC Vive via Viveport. Already supporting Gear VR, Daydream, and Oculus Rift platforms, developing studio Cortopia confirmed with Road to VR that cross-play with other headsets is coming today, or at very latest “later this week.” The studio also confirmed that Wands is hitting Steam at some point “in the near future,” although they weren’t specific when it would occur.
