Just in time for Halloween, The Exorcist franchise is getting an episodic VR horror adventure soon, with the first two chapters due in October. Called The Exorcist: Legion VR , the experience promises to let you finally take part in what the creators calls “a variety of increasingly disturbing exorcisms” across a five-chapter narrative.

Thanks to a built-in video processor, the mCable Gaming Edition HDMI cable applies image enhancements—including a custom anti-aliasing-like solution—to most source devices with HDMI output. Action camera specialist GoPro has announced its first model to take 360-degree videos and photos. After several years in development, and a series of delays, Fusion is finally coming to market. Fusion features a built-in image stabilization, spatial audio capture and can be used underwater. GoPro has been talking about since CES 2016 and now it is finally coming to market.

Sony today announced that a new PlayStation VR model is in the works focusing on some issues surrounding ease of use. Sony is still playing it sparse with technical details, but it seems the new model is more of an iterative hardware refresh, including an updated design featuring integrated headphones and a slimmer, more streamlined connection cable.

This story of VR astronaut training begins, like many others, on Reddit. On February 26th, 2015, the developers of the indie VR title Earthlight unveiled the first prominent screenshots of their game , which blew away audiences due to sheer attention to detail. Overnight, the post became a sensation, and although we didn’t know it yet, the poster woke up the following morning to Reddit PMs from NASA laboratories.

Speaking at the Games for Change 2017 conference, Magic Leap “Chief Gaming Wizard” Graeme Devine offered some insight into the types of AR experiences the company has been building internally, and offers up what he believes will be the format of AR content which will “define a generation.” Graeme Devine is a long time games industry vet, having worked at studios such as Id Software, Ensemble Studios, Microsoft, and more.

While VR is off to a slow start, in Intel they have a strong belief that it will catch on in the long run. Intel recently pivoted away from a tech demo that it called Project Alloy, a stand-alone VR headset, to something entirely different. The first generation of VR headsets, such as the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive, are connected to powerful personal computers via wires.
